Cheryl has dual certification & degrees in both regular education and special education and spent many years in the classroom teaching students with developmental disabilities. This experience prepared her to design and manage the programmatic aspect of ALSD and to manage its daily operations.

She has always had a passion for the special needs community and has over 20 years of experience in the field. Megan spent time as a LoneStar LEND Autism Fellow at the UT Houston Health Science Center where she conducted published research focusing on what families of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders look for in community based placement.

Scherrel is always eager to help and has a contagious and bubbly personality that is a bright spot to our day!

He has always had a passion for working with individuals with special needs including working for over ten years as a Board-Certified Music Therapist providing in-home services. When not at ALSD you can probably find him playing games at home with his wife and 2 daughters or out at the fields coaching little league softball!
